Week 11 in St. Marys Mens Softball ended with St. Marys Insurance, Eckert Technical Services, Tubby’s Tavern and Deprators Beverage all picking up wins and Friday nights late game losing out to mother nature in action that took place at the Robin Road Sports Complex.
St. Marys Insurance (15-3) defeated Carlson Technologies (6-11) 19-5 on Thursday night. Also Thursday, ETS (14-4) held serve and stayed one game back by getting past Tyler Landscape (7-12) 13-9.
Kenny Vogt homered twice and drove in 6 runs to lead SMI. Kurt Eckert and Nathan Liggett also homered and Tony Chiodo tripled twice for the winners.
Steve Simchick’s three-run homerun highlighted the offense for CTI. Simchick finished 2 for 3 with 4 RBI. Mike Miraglia and Justin Saline both added a pair of hits, with one Miraglia’s a double. Ben Thompson also belted a dinger in the losing effort.
ETS got 2 homeruns from Kyler Lenox, one each from Jared Groll, Nate Schneider and Tyler Donachy, and a triple and 3 RBI from Josh Zelinski in their win over Tyler.
The Landscapers were led by three nights by Jordan Weinzierl, Cody Ritter, and Ryan Neal. Weinzierl had a round tripper as one of his hits. Dalton Bauer added a triple for Tyler’s.
Tyler won their matchup Wednesday night with Tubby’s Tavern (7-11) 14-8 and Deprators Beverage won the late game that night over N&S Contractors 14-3.
Bauer hit a pair of homeruns to lead the Landscapers Wednesday. Nate Hoffman also went deep, Dan Wimer and Ritter tripled and Nick Reed added a double.
For Tubby’s, Matt Kriner was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. Ken Meyer helped the cause with a 2-run homer.
Alec Wehler’s homerun led Deprators (11-6) over N&S. Garrett Bauer and Bryce O’Leary added doubles.
N&S (5-13) scored all their runs in the third inning with Rick Beimel leading the way, going 3 for 3 with an RBI.
Friday night’s lone game was a Tubby’s Tavern 13-5 win over N&S Contractors.
Jamer Cooney and Bobby Jack were both 3 for 3 to lead the Tavern Boys. One of Jack’s hits was a homerun. Garrett Hornung added a 2 for 3 performance highlighted by a double.
