ECTD and SMI remain perfect in men’s softball

Elk County Tool & Die and St. Marys Insurance remained perfect in action that took place Monday and Tuesday night at the Robin Road Sports Complex in St. Marys Mens League Softball action.

ECTD (6-0) won each night, defeating Tyler Landscape 13-1 on Monday and Wildwoods 21-0 on Tuesday.

Monday night, leading ECTD, was Nick Reuscher, going 3 for 3, Rudy Gleixner and Ty Donachy, who both hit homeruns, and Cory Huff added a double. Knocking in 3 runs each were Brandon Sicheri, Gleixner, and Donachy.

In Tuesday action for ECTD, Gleixner and Kyle Williams were both 4 for 4 and Sicheri went 3 for 3. Gleixner homered, Sicheri doubled and tripled, and Kyler Lenox added a double.

For Tyler (0-6), Al Schneider went 2 for 2 with a double.

SMI (5-0) turned back Deprators Beverage 9-6 to open play Tuesday night.

Nathan Liggett’s 3 for 3 performance led SMI. TJ Breindel hit a 3-run homerun and Tony Chiodo added a solo shot.

Leading Deprators (3-2) was Zack Zameroksi’s 2 for 3 night that included a double, triple and 2 RBI’s. Gavin Elmquist hit a solo homerun and Alec Wehler doubled.

In Monday night’s late game, the Allegheny Coatings Goats (3-2) ran their winning streak to three games by shutting out Wildwoods 14-0.

Derek Meyer and Kevin Hoy both went 3 for 4 to lead the Goats at the dish. Hoy had a homerun and 3 RBI’s. Cole Peterson double and homered and drove in 4 runs.

Mason McAllister doubled for Wildwoods.
