With two weeks in the books in St. Marys Mens League Softball action, the number of undefeated teams dropped from four to three, with St. Marys Insurance, Elk County Tool & Die, and Carlson Technologies ending the week at 4-0 in action up at the Robin Road Sports Complex.
CTI made it to 4-0 first on Wednesday night by defeating previously undefeated Deprators Beverage 9-5.
Mike Miraglia led CTI, going 2 for 3 with 2 homeruns and 5 RBI’s. Mick Vogt went 4 for 4 and Ben Vogt added a 3 for 3 night in win.
Austin Green, Alec Wehler, Ryan Heary and Nate Dezanet all double for Deprators (3-1)
Deprators rebounded Friday with a win over Tubbys Tavern 8-7.
Alec Wehler homered, doubled, and knocked in 2 runs to lead the Beveragemen. Zack Zameroski added a two-run dinger and Matt Bellina finished the game 2 for 3.
Tubbys (3-2) was led by a pair of homeruns by Garrett Hornung, knocking in 4 runs. Matt Kriner added a double.
Tubbys did pick up an 18-2 win Wednesday night over Wildwoods. Kriner had the hot bat that night, going 4 for 4 with a double and a triple.
Also for Tubbys, Brock Lewis went 3 for 4 with a double, and Jamer Cooney, Ken Meyer and Ryan Breslin all tripled.
On Thursday night, Elk County Tool & Die beat Dino’s Place (0-5), 24-6, and Allegheny Coatings (2-2) beat Tyler Landscape (0-5), 17-7.
ECTD was led by Dan Singer’s 4 for 5 night that included a double, homerun, and 5 RBI’s. Josh Zelinski went 3 for 4 with a triple and 4 RBI’s, Nick Reuscher went twice and knocked in 5 runs and Ty Donachy smacked a long ball.
For Dino’s Place, Alex Gorton, Reece Novosel and Isaac Schlimm all doubled.
Allegheny Coatings evened their record at 2-2 Thursday night, beating Tyler Landscape 17-7. Andy Eck homered, doubled, and knocked in 3 runs to lead the Goats.
Cole Peterson added 2 doubles. Also doubling for the winners were Dalton Kline and Kevin Hoy.
Tyler Daniels hit a 3-run homerun to lead the Landscapers. Jordan Weinzierl added a 3 for 4 night at the dish.
St. Marys Insurance made quick work of Wildwoods Friday night, rolling to a 13-1 win. Jake Cortina’s 4 for 4 night that included a double led SMI.
Tony Chiodo was also perfect, going 3 for 3 with a double and 4 RBI’s. Kyle Garner was 2 for 2 with a double and 3 RBI.
