Elk County Tool & Die captured the 2022 St. Marys Mens League Regular Season Softball Title Monday night with their win over Tyler Landscape last Monday night in action at the Robin Road Sports Complex.
Starting the week before the playoffs begin, one regular season game needs to be completed, with Allegheny Coatings taking on Tyler Landscape at 5:50 pm, just before the play-in game, to be played in the late slot at 6:50 pm.
ECTD finished off their season with a 22-2 record after beating Deprators Beverage Tuesday and Carlson Technologies on Friday to wrap up the number one seed for the playoffs.
ECTD will await the winner of Monday night’s play-in game between Wildwoods (1-23) and Dino’s Place (3-21), with Dino’s Place winning the regular season series 2-1. The ECTD – Dino’s Place/Wildwoods series will begin Tuesday night at 5:50 pm.
St. Marys Insurance will be the number two seed entering the playoffs after beating Carlson Technologies last Tuesday night to finish with a 19-5 record. They will play Tyler Landscape, who will be the number seven seed and have a 9-14 record going into their final game against the Goats Monday night. Their series will start Tuesday night at 6:50 pm.
Allegheny Coatings secured the number three seed last week after beating Deprators and CTI, who all had a shot at the three spot. The Goats are 16-7 heading into their season finale Monday against Tyler. They will take on Tubbys Tavern, who finished 10-14, Wednesday night in the early game at 5:50 pm.
The final series will pit fourth seeded Deprators Beverage, 14-10, against fifth seeded Carlson Technologies, 13-11. This series will start Wednesday night in the late game slot at 6:50 pm.
All first round series will be played in a best two out of three format.
