Coatings, Tyler, SMI have perfect week in Mens Softball

Allegheny Coatings, Tyler Landscape and St. Marys Insurance all posted a perfect week, going 2-0, as the games resumed in St. Marys Mens Softball League action this week at the Robin Road Softball Complex.

Allegheny Coatings opened the week Tuesday night beating PA Powdered Metals 11-3, moving the Goats into second place. Kevin Hoy and Justin Quiggle both homered to lead the Goats (7-2).

Quiggle finished the game 2 for 3, adding a double and collecting 3 RBI’s. Hoy also had 3 RBI’s, Ricky Pearsall added 2 doubles, and Dillon Kline pitched in with a 3 for 4 performance with a pair of RBI’s.

For PPM (5-2), eight different players collected singles.

St. Marys Insurance shut out N&S Contractors late Tuesday night 10-0 to stay undefeated. Rudy Gleixner led the charge at the dish, going 3 for 4 with 2 triples and knocking in 3 runs.

Tony Chiodo was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI’s for SMI. Kenny Vogt, Kurt Eckert and Kyle Garner all added doubles.

Eckert Technical Services (4-4) got past Carlson Technologies in the first game Wednesday night 14-5. Tyler Donachy had the hot bat for ETS, going 5 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI’s
Also for ETS, Jared Groll was 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles and Tyler Zelinski and Zach Reigel both doubled.

For Carlson’s, Luke Nicklas was 2 for 3 with a three-run homerun and Mike Miraglia went perfect 3 for 3.

In the late game Wednesday night, Tyler Landscape used a big nine run sixth inning to blow open a tie game and knock off the Buttonwood/East End Beverage Honkey Spuds 15-6. Back-to-back-to-back homeruns from Andy Eck, Eric Bush and Dalton Bauer propelled the rally.

Andy Glass led the Landscapers at the dish, going 3 for 4 with a double. Eck and Bush were both 2 for 3, including their homeruns. Bauer, Nate Hoffman and Brock Lewis all finished 2 for 4 for the winners.

Thursday night had Allegheny Coatings back in action, this time taking care of N&S Contractors (1-7) 12-5. Justin Quiggle, Rich Quiggle and Nick Brennen all doubled to lead the Goats.

Justin Quiggle and Vince Jacob both went 3 for 4 to pace Allegheny Coatings, while Dalton Kline knocked in 3 runs and Justin Quiggle and Hank Cappiello both contributed 2 RBI’s.

PA Powdered Metals got back on the winning side of things in the late game Thursday night, squeaking past Eckert Technical Services 9-6.

For ETS, Tyler Donachy and Justin Eckert both went 2 for 3. Kyle Williams added a double.

Friday night, Tyler Landscape moved into a tie for third place with PPM after defeating Deprators Beverage 23-5. Andy Eck led the Landscapers, going 3 for 4 with a homerun, a triple and 7 RBI’s.

Bucky Benson added a 3 for 3 night, Jude Salvaggio was 2 for 2 and Andy Glass was 3 for 4 for Tyler (5-2).

For Deprators (1-8), Tyler Wehler was 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles, Alec Wehler pitched in a 2 for 2 performance while Nate Dezanet and Jordan Deprator both doubled.

In the final game of the week, St. Marys Insurance stayed perfect, improving to 7-0 with a 20-6 win of Carlson Technologies (3-5). Kenny Vogt led the Insurancemen at the dish, going 3 for 4 with a homerun and 4 RBI’s.

Rudy Gleixner was 2 for 3 with a double, homerun and 4 RBI’s. Nathan Liggett and Kiel Nissel both added homeruns for the winners.

For Carlson’s, Luke Nicklas hit a grand slam and Mike Miraglia hit a solo shot.
