The 2023 edition of the St. Marys Mens Softball League will begin Monday, May 8, at 5:50 pm at the Robin Road Sports Complex Field.
The Allegheny Coatings Goats will look to repeat as league champions and carry a 15-game winning streak into this season. The Goats won their last eight regular season games last year and then swept their way through the playoffs with a perfect 7-0 record to win their second league championship.
The Goats will start the season in what has become the traditional league opening game when they play Elk County Tool and Die, the 2022 regular season and Mid-season tournament champions, Monday night at 5:50 pm. In the nightcap, Keystone Rural Health (formally CTI) will take on St. Marys Insurance at 6:50 pm.
The league is down one team this season and will play a 24 game schedule among the 8 teams and continue their Mid-Season Tournament, which will be June 16, 17, and 18 this year.
This seasons teams are Allegheny Coatings Goats, Elk County Tool & Die, St. Marys Insurance, Keystone Rural Health, Dino’s Place, Gerg Tool & Die (formally Wildwoods), Deprators Beverage, and the newcomers, Cavalier Roofing.
The season begins May 8th and runs through July 21st. The playoffs will begin July 24th.
A fundraiser was held April 22nd at the Maker’s Warehouse with music provided by DJ Kreckel Music Services. A fun night was had by all and a total of $9,740 was raised for the league.

The league would also like to thank Vollmer & Chip & Tar for not only donating their time but their equipment to help reshape our field so that it is the proper dimensions according to ASA rules.
This year’s board members are Justin Saline, President, Rudy Gleixner, Vice-President and Mick Vogt, Treasurer.
