Deprators shocks SMI, Tyler walks off Allegeny Coating

In a week shortened games wise because of the Summer Tournament last weekend, it was not short on exciting games and upsets.

Tuesday night started out the week with Tubbys Tavern beating Deprators Beverage 13-9 and St. Marys Insurance getting past a pesky N&S Contractors squad 17-11.

Tubbys (6-7) was led by Zack Austin, who went 4 for 4 with a h0omerun and 5 RBIs. Matt Kriner was 3 for 4 with a double and 4 RBIs. Brock Lewis and Ken Meyer added doubles for the winners.

For Deprators (7-5), Ryan Fritz had a pair of doubles, Alec Wehler and Austin Green both added a double and Matt Bellina tripled.

SMI got a pair of homeruns and a double from Rudy Gleixner, a homerun from Nathan Liggett, a triple and double from Kenny Vogt and a double from Lucas Wendel.

John Ackley was 3 for 4 with a three-run homerun to lead N&S (4-11)0. Al Schneider was 3 for 4 with a triple and Jamie Neubert added a triple.

N&S got a win on Wednesday night, beating PA Powdered Metals 18-3. In the other game, Tyler Landscape pulled off the first upset of the week, beating Allegheny Coatings 13-12.

Tyler (5-8) was led by Tyler Daniel’s walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the seventh finished off a 3-run rally to give Tyler the upset. Matt Neubert had the hot bat for the Landscapers, going 5 for 5 with a pair of homeruns and 7 RBIs. Nate Hoffman, Jordan Weinzierl and Dan Wimer all added 3 hits each.

The Goats (9-5) got a 5 for 5 performance from Ricky Pearsall that included a triple, Derek Meyer and Kevin Hoy both hit homeruns, Hoy and Dillon Kline doubled and Jake Geer was 3 for 4.

PPM (3-11), Danny Singer was 2 for 2 with a double and Eric Gerber was also 2 for 2.

Thursday night, Deprators got in on the upset action, knocking of SMI 17-8. In the early game, Carlson Technologies beat Tubbys Tavern 10-3.

Deprators got a big night from both Matt Bellina and Gavin Elmquist, who each smacked a homerun and 4 for 4. Brady Schneider added a triple and Tyler Wehler was 3 for 3.

SMI was led by Nathan Liggett’s homerun and 2 RBIs and Kyle Garner’s triple. Lucas Wendel was 2 for 2 with a pair of walks.

Eric Herzing’s 4 for 4 night that included a triple led CTI (5-8). Mike Miraglia was 3 for 4 with a homerun and 4 RBIs and Steve Simchick added 3 hits for the winners.

Ken Meyer and Harry Carr were 3 for 3 to led Tubbys.

Eckert Technical Services remained in first place by knocking off Tyler 5-2 Friday night. Allegheny Coatings shutout N&S 21-0 in the other game on Friday.

ETS (10-2) was led by Bryan Hansen’s 2 for 3 night with 2 RBI. Justin Eckert, Kyle Williams, and Brandon Sicheri all added two hits as well, with one of Sicheri’s being a double.

Craig Kronenwetter’s 3 for 3 night led Tyler. Nate Hoffman, Andy Glass and Jude Salvaggio all had a pair of hits in the losing effort.
