It may have been a light week of action in St. Marys Mens League Softball action, but the action was plenty as St. Marys Insurance suffered their first loss of the season and Tubby’s Tavern picked up a pair of wins during action at the Robin Road Sports Complex.
One of Tubby’s Tavern’s two wins was against St. Marys Insurance, in which Tubby’s held off a comeback attempt by SMI (6-1) to knock them from the undefeated ranks 15-12 Wednesday night.
Tubby’s also picked up a 15-7 win over PA Powdered Metals on Friday night to improve to 4-4.
Against SMI, Garrett Hornung led Tubby’s, going 4 for 4 with a pair of homeruns and 6 RBI’s. Zack Austin and Bobby Jack also homered.
