St. Marys – Tyler Landscape and N&S Contractors picked up their first wins of the season Monday night in St. Marys Mens League Softball action at the Robin Road Sports Complex.
Tyler Landscape (1-2) led off the week with a 9-8 win over winless Tubby’s Tavern (0-3). N&S (1-2) followed that up with a 13-12 victory over Carlson Technologies (1-2) in the night cap.
Leading the way for the Landscapers was Bob Jimmerson with a pair of homeruns and 3 RBI’s. Scott Rodgers and Dalton Bauer both double for the winners.
For Tubby’s, Matt Kriner (double) and Zack Austin both went 3 for 4. Ken Meyer, Bobby Jack and Nate Ball also added a double.
N&S was led by Al Schneider, Rod Anderson, and Dickie Perroz, who all collected three hits each. The Contractors finished with 20 hits, all singles.
For CTI, Mike Miraglia smacked a dinger and tallied 4 RBI’s. Eric Herzing was 4 for 4 and Brett Herzing and Alex Datoli both finished with 3 hits.
ETS improved to 3-1 with a 14-8 win over PA Powdered Metals to kick off Tuesday night action. In the nightcap, St. Marys Insurance improved to 3-0 and moved into a tie on top of the standings with Allegheny Coatings by beating Tyler Landscape 14-2.
ETS got a strong offensive performance from Nate Schneider (3-4, triple), Jared Groll (3-4, double, triple, 3 RBI) and Colby Lenox (3-4, 2 doubles).
Leading PPM (0-3) was Mitchell Struble’s 2 for 3 night that included a double, homerun and 4 RBI’s. Cory Huff went 3 for 3 with a double.
The Insurancemen were led by Rudy Gleixner’s homerun. Kurt Eckert tripled, Ben Cortina and Tony Chiodo doubled, and Lucas Wendel drove in 4 runs.
For Tyler, Brandon Tyger hit a solo homerun.
