St. Marys Insurance kept a hold of first place with a shutout win over PA Powdered Metals, Eckert Technical Services routed Carlson Technologies 16-3 to remain tied for first, and Allegheny Coatings remained a game back in the loss column by defeating Tubby’s Tavern in extra innings in action Monday and Tuesday night in St. Marys Mens League Softball action at the Robin Road Sports Complex.
SMI (7-1) got doubles from Lucas Wendel, Kenny Vogt, Rudy Gleixner, Nathan Liggett (2), Jeremy Williams in their 13-0 win over PPM.
PPM (1-9) collected just five hits, with Danny Singer’s two singles leading the way.
Eckert’s (7-1) scored six in the first and five in the second on their way to their five-inning win.
Jared Groll whacked two homeruns and had 5 RBI to lead ETS. Tyler Donachy smashed two homeruns and knocked in 4 RBI’s to back up Groll. Nick Reuscher also hit a homer. Justin Eckert and Nate Schneider both doubled.
Mike Miraglia’s 3-run homerun provided all the firepower for CTI (3-6).
The Goats (7-2) had to rally twice against Tubby’s, from a 7-2 deficit and then 11-10 in the top of the seventh to send the game to extra innings. In the top of the eighth, Vince Jacob’s RBI triple and Rich Quiggle’s run scoring fielder’s choice provided Coatings the 13-11 win.
Also, for the Goats, Justin Quiggle homered twice, Andy Eck and Jacob’s each went yard once and Dalton Kline added a triple.
Garrett Hornung led Tubby’s (4-5), going 4 for 4 with a homerun and 3 RBI’s. Zack Austin and Cory Reed each added a double in the losing effort.
Deprators Beverage (5-3) won a slugfest Tuesday night against PA Powdered Metals 25-24 in the opener.
Alec Wehler and Gavin Elmquist both homered to lead Deprators. Matt Bellina doubled and tripled, and Bryce O’Leary and Tyler Wehler both doubled for the winners.
For PPM, Danny Singer hit for the cycle, a single, double, triple and homerun. Luke Hoffman, Mitchell Struble, and Ty Burford all hit dingers, Noah Werner doubled twice, as did Struble for the losers.
