Goats double up ECTD 16-8, lead finals 2-0
Three’s were wild again for the Allegheny Coatings Goats Wednesday night as they scored three runs in the first, second, third and sixth innings, on their way to a 16-8 win over Elk County Tool & Die to take a 2-0 lead in their best of five championship series in action at the Robin Road Sports Complex. The Allegheny Coatings Goats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back Tuesday night, winning game one of the best of five championship series against Elk County Tool & Die 13-3 in action at the Robin Road Softball Complex. ECTD, SMI advance to round 2 of softball playoffs
The top two seeds in the St. Marys Mens League Softball playoffs, #1 Elk County Tool & Die and #2 St. Marys Insurance, both advanced to the second round of the playoffs by sweeping their opening round series 2-0, while #3 Allegheny Coatings and #5 Carlson Technologies look to do the same Monday night in their first round series in action at the Robin Road Sports Complex last week.
